BLUEWAVESIt was officially born in Santiago de Chile in 2022. However, its history dates back to 2019, when Manuel Betancur (Beta), vocalist and keyboardist of the band, started a solo project under the name "Betaside".

- THE BEGGINING -

As a first task, Beta begins to request collaboration from different people, obtaining the support of Maximiliano Brito (Max), guitarist and second voice, Andrés Olivares (Andrés), guitarist of the band and Nicolás Ramos (Cacanor), producer of the project at that time. then, thus forming the first team that would work on the first demos: "The Plain Over The Seas", "Demential Ecstasy Because of You" and "Once Again".

- JAIRUS -

During this first process, only a conceptual idea was generated, but without any background. However, and due to the musical connection that was emerging between the members, the solo project immediately began to disappear and the incorporation of a bassist and a drummer became necessary to form what would end up becoming a band itself.

The bassist would arrive practically immediately, since Sebastián Montero (Seba), a friend of the group at that moment, offered to fill that position. With his arrival the project began to operate, but the drummer was still missing.
It would not be until the end of 2019, when José Landabur (Landa) joined the band, thus sealing the first official lineup of the project, whose initial name was "Jairus".

During this first process, the demo of the song "Circus" was born as a proposal by Max, becoming the first song in the "Banda" era.

- THE PANDEMIC -

Everything was going well for the band until March 2020, when the world was affected by the beginning of security protocols, as a result of the pandemic declared globally.

During this period, the only achievement was having made an acoustic version of "Once Again", which was recorded by the members from their own homes due to the prevailing conditions in the world.

The first confinement would begin to diminish the spirit of the band, generating emotional exhaustion that shook the continuity of the project.

As the security protocols were lifted, the band resumed rehearsals and with the desire to generate new air, work began on a new song ("Enigma").

The impulse would not last long, since at the end of 2021 the second confinement would begin, which would finally trigger Landa's departure.

- 1982 -

As a result of the new stoppage in the project, and the stress of not being able to finalize anything with the group after practically a year and a half of formation, Beta begins to work on a new song, with the sole purpose of keeping the musical spirit high. . It is at this moment that "1982" was born, becoming the song that generated a fundamental turning point in the future of the band.
The song was worked on between Beta, Max and Seba, being released to the world in February 2021 and becoming the first official work published. "1982" was published under the "PG KING" project, since strictly speaking it would be a parallel work to Jairus.

Taking advantage of the momentum generated by "1982", Max proposes a new song, thus creating "Spider", thus sealing the new beginning of the band, as it was decided to merge the project with Jairus, leaving the band's original lineup (Beta-Max-Andres-Seba).

From then on the band, which inherited the name "PG KING", already had 7 songs in the pipeline and only one published.

- THE BRIDGE -

With the return to normality (pandemic), in October 2021 the members begin to rehearse with bases, achieving important advances in synergy and live performance. The first results of the work were beginning to be seen, but in any case the absence of a drummer generated an undeniable mental decline.

At that time, Oscar Jiménez (Oldscar) joined the band as a drummer, which allowed the project to advance to band work in rehearsal rooms, generating for the first time in the life of the band, regularity in a fundamental aspect: The Rehearsal, for a considerable period of time.
In parallel, it was decided to finish the song "Spider" and at the same time the definition of the band's name, birthing Bluewaves.
After these advances, the next milestone remained to be achieved; play live Therefore, the place and date of the debut are defined. "June 25, 2022" in "CreaRock".

Unfortunately, due to time problems, Oscar leaves the group and, despite this, the band decides to maintain the goal of playing live, betting on paying for session player services if necessary.
BluewavesHe manages to contact Pablo Navia (Polo), a drummer previously known to some members of the band, inviting him to accomplish this task, postponing the debut to July 23, 2023.

- THE DEBUT -

Although the band did not feel 100% prepared, as a result of the little rehearsal time that Polo had with them, they needed to take that step, officially debuting live on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the CreaRock rooms.

The performance was well received and undoubtedly involved an important step in the history ofBluewaves.

After this, Polo officially joined the band, generating an important emotional boost. Rehearsals were followed regularly until it was time to create,

It is at the end of 2022 that "Call of The Wild" is born. Initially it started as an attempt to return to an old composition, but as a result of the creative impulse that all the members were taking, it was decided to continue down the path of a new song, thus becoming the first song composed entirely in the rehearsal room. by all members.

- THE FIRST DISC -

Beginning of 2023: The band still had no cover letter, so the decision was made to record absolutely all the material created and officially release it. In this process Polo leaves the group due to differences in the way they work, but the band decides to continue at a firm pace in reviewing the demos and the subsequent recording and official publication.

Bluewavesmakes the decision to work with the producerMariano Pavez, who had previously participated in the song "Spider", and what was achieved undoubtedly reflected what the band was looking for as a sound.

Although the songs have been released as singles, this will still be gathered into a single project or album, whose name is "The Plain Over The Seas", alluding to the song that started everything in the band's history:TPOTS.

And it is precisely in this final stage and at the precise moment, that Gonzalo Jessen (Gonza) joins the band on drums, thus sealing the definitive lineup ofBluewaves.
